It’s like burning coal, it’s like burning coal, it’s like burning coal
It’s like burning coal, it’s like burning coal, it’s like burning coal
These noxious fumes are taking its toll on the people we know
These obnoxious fumes are taking its toll on the people we know
We can air all our laundry out there in the yard, out there in the yard
We can air all our laundry out there in the yard, out there in the yard
They can study our faces, wonder why we are scarred,
wondering why we are scarred
They can study our faces, wonder why we are scarred,
wondering why we are scarred
Waiting for a click, then call a cop
They’re tired of the tick that’ll never tock
Hurling a new brick towards our shack
Jealous of the luck they seem to lack
Watching us cook, like a piece of meat
They’re watching us fuck out in the street
Waiting for the stick to finally snap
Ready to attack, so cut the crap
A fantastic album. I can see why they didn't continue under the name The Evens, as it's a different sound with the bass added. Coriky is the Evens + Joe Lally from Fugazi on bass. If you can imagine The Evens with a slightly more funky, aggressive sound like Fugazi... that's what you get! And there's no way that can ever go wrong. What a great debut album!! smiledozer
